Cairn Cottage offers a large flat lawned area in a rural environment with background views to the north of the Okuku Ranges and Maukatere.
From the moment you walk through the Wedding Arch and down the aisle of the parterre lavender garden the mood has been set.
The Summerhouse, dressed to suit your style, is the perfect place for your vows. Alternatively you can opt for the Lily Snug, with its intimate, enclosed palm beach feel. Perhaps you would like to choose your own spot.
Our modern rustic barn easily seats up to forty but can accommodate up to sixty people for your reception or ceremony if our friends the rain clouds come calling.
Completely wheelchair friendly.
Cairn Cottage is a peaceful, relaxing and casual setting.
All your photos can be taken on site if you desire. From the Bridal Arch dotted with Clematis in early November, to the extensive beds of peony roses in bloom from late October to early December, or the lavender parterre garden in full bloom from December, there is some where to capture that perfect memory. The old Cobb Cottage and the nearby Cust river offer even more great options.
Lawn games including Petanque, Kubb and Finska are provided for your guests entertainment. [Rules of play included]
Wedding numbers are limited to a maximum of sixty people including bride, groom and guests. The head table can seat up to six.
All food and alcohol catering is by others.
This is a rural environment so there may be neighbouring farming activities occurring over which we have no control.
